Mill Grange was built in 1991/2 by two developers: 'Ideal Homes' and 'Beazer Homes'.
This pretty development offered a full range of styles and designs from one bedroom starter homes to large detached executive houses - and a rather fine development it was, and very popular, as it still is today.
'Ideal' built the larger detached houses and bungalows, mainly along Goldcrest Drive and Chaffinch Crescent and 'Beazer' the equally attractive smaller properties.
The properties along Goldcrest Drive and Chaffinch Crescent enjoy the added bonus of backing directly on to the 90 acres of ancient meadow known as Mill Meadows - a gated access around the corner on Greens Farm Lane- literally a one minute walk - ideal if you have dogs of adventurous small children.
The surrounding neighbourhood of Sunnymede is one of the oldest in the town, with some of the roads dating back to beginning of the 1900's.
The area then was surrounded by farmland.

Rise, the centerpiece here being a very popular Tesco Express Convenience Store. Plus, even nearer, just a few hundred metres away, is a small convenience store on the corner of Prince Edward Road and Greens Farm Lane.
SCHOOLS
The local Infants and Junior Schools - both called Sunnymede - have good OFSTED reports and are both on the same grounds.
Most children here now go on up to Billericay School which is a highly regarded academy secondary school and sixth form college with a 'Good' OFSTED rating.
STATION
Using the short cut through Daines Road and Crown Road, the Mainline Railway Station (London Liverpool Street in 35 minutes) is just 0.8 mile away from the entrance to the development - hence why a good chunk of the residents are City Commuters.
BUS STOPS
There a are a number of bus stops throughout the area, providing easy access to the station, town centre and surrounding towns.
SURROUNDING AREA
In addition to Mill Meadows, 166 acres of Norsey Woods is to be found just a 2-3 minute drive away.
