Lee Chapel South essentially links Laindon and Langdon Hills.
It has long been one of the most sought after areas to live in Basildon, not only because `it is a very nice place to live` but also due to its convenient setting so close to the Town Centre, Hospital, Langdon Hills Nature Reserve and with the road system providing quick and easy access on to the A127, A13 and M25.

At the top of The Knares was the small hamlet of `East Lee` which had its own chapel - hence the Lee Chapel.
